Got pics of your install? Did you install them on top of the rack or the side?
I guess the important question is, how high do they stick up and how low of obstructions do you plan on driving under? Just be sure to design the weak link in the mount somewhere other than the antenna. I've broken several antennas and even more mounts. The fittings on the mounts are much cheaper to replace if you break those instead of the antenna.
The wind will be the least of your worries. You won't need a spring mount to deal with wind using a 2' firestick. Trees will be your biggest concern, and that's assuming you never go through drive thru's (food or bank), park under carports, pull in a garage or building, go to a car wash, or any number of other things you're not considering right now.
I finally gave up on the taller antennas and stuck a firestick on the side of my headache rack to keep it a bit shorter.
Hi and sorry to hijack.
Curious about thoughts on an ant. mounted center of cab? Thinking a single base load, either magnetic mount or I might be willing to perm mount base. Have a fifth wheel so nothing can go in the bed, deffinitly no headache rack.
I like the portability of a mag mount I know there are other issues.
Thanks.

Permanant mount to center of cab roof. Wilson makes a GREAT antenna for this!
