Restore and Restore Plus Flush ?

Restore and Restore Plus Flush ?
After reading on this forum, I got a SGII and plan to replace the gold coolant with ELC. I have only had the SGII plugged in for a day and the EOT vs. ECT spread ranged from 6-9 degrees on the highway. My question is would you guys flush with restore and restore plus with a 6-9 spread or just remove all the gold from the system with a distilled water flush and replace with the elc/distilled water? And is one day with the SGII enough to determine the spread? Truck is an '06 with 81k miles and original coolant. Coolant filter is ready to be installed after flush.

If your measuring with the truck warned up (coolant at 188F-190F) and cruising at 65-70 mph. I wouldn't worry about it. Unless you've got something else going on. Several guys on here have reported a steady 6-8 delta and a functional oil cooler.
ELC is Extended Life Coolant. The OEM coolant is Ford Premium Gold. There is a strong theory/belief that the high temps the EGR system pumps into the coolant causes the particulates to solidify in the oil cooler. Thus clogging it and starving the EGR cooler of coolant. Which then ruptures dumping coolant into the intake. If left untreated will/can hydrolock the engine...which can lift the heads and blow the head gaskets out. Thus allot of guys swap to a silicate free coolant like Caterpillar ELC.

Thanks zhilton. Coolant temp held pretty steady at around 190-191 and oil temp ranged from 196-199 depending on how I was driving but mostly was at 197.
jl4407, like zhilton said it is Cat EC-1 rated. You will see coolants at autozone, advance, and others that say extended life but that is not what I am talking about. I had to find mine at the Mack dealership and saw some at the Freightliner dealership.
