Starting Issues

My '78 F-150 Explorer with 400(214,000 miles) and C/6 has trouble starting after I've driven it a while and it gets operating temp.

When I try to start it it bogs the starter and turns really slow. After several attempts at this it starts normally. If I let it cool off for a while it starts and spins over just fine.

Is this from the cam/crank timing being off(chain stretch)?

I've adjusted the ignition timing(advance and retard) and that doesn't seem to change anything. I have also rebuilt the carb(It did this prior to rebuild).

Anyone have this issue and know what's wrong? Any help appreciated

Sounds like the starter might be going out. Have it bench tested, might as well have the battery load tested as well. I would also clean all connections and make sure you set the timing right.
