Since all of the corner patch panels come from the same manufacturer, you might want to shop around for the best price. I ordered mine from BOTP cheaper than anywhere else and was surprised when they came in, they had paper tags placed one over the other for 3 different vendors. Also, beware that the corner panels are really just a starting point since they don't fit well and the lower curve doesn't match the original.
Hey Tom,
I bought some from LMC & they weren't even close.
We've got a 1950 F1 - I heard about one of our members who makes
the corners. He's a firefighter up in Connecticut - on here under the name Reamer. If you shoot him a pm he might have what you need.
His corners were a lot better than the mass market ones.
Hey Tom,
Hmm... These corners were one of the toughest repairs to
get right on the truck IMO. It's much easier if you start with a repair
patch that already has the right angles. Don't make the mistake we made & cut your corners off before knowing the size of the repair patch.
Here is a picture of the part we got from "Reamer" his name is Ron.
If you are experienced in welding & body work go for it - If you are starting out like us ... I'd get a good patch panel. Good luck over there.
Thanks for the advice. I'm most concerned about that outer curve that makes a 90 degree bend and wondering if the shrinker/stretcher could do that. I've watched the Eastwood video on that but not seein that shape come out of it. Also, what or who is BOTP? Tom
Is that the only spot that needs to be replaced? If so, I have a leftover section of cab corner 8" long x 5" high for that spot that I didn't need. You're welcome to it.
If you want a pic I'll get one.

Thanks, Rick, but I got an idea (happens every now and then) on how to make my own. If it works out I'll post a thread with pics. If it doesn't you may hear from me down the road. By the way, all four corners are in similar condition. I've got pictures of them in my album. Tom

Yes, the shrinker stretcher will do that quite nicely. I'd suggest getting Ron Covell's DVD "basics of working with sheet metal" Ron Covell Creative Metalworking Workshops WELL worth the price!
