Question Tailgate bolts

I need to level my tailgate. The bolts are a large Torx bit. What size is that bit? Is it threaded into the bed or through bolted? Do I need to remove the taillights to get to the nut? Is there a nut? I have a Haynes manual, but of course it does not cover this matter. Can anyone help?

Tailgate bolts

well, I answered my own question this weekend. The bolts are T-50 and are threaded into a plate. You do not have to remove anything except the rear bumper to get to the bottom bolt. It was real simple. If amyone needs help PM me.

Thumbs up Tailgate bolts

Thanks for the follow-up. Now when someone with the same question does a search of the archives they'll find this thread and have all the information they need to get going.

P.S. When are you gonna post a question in the new 3.0L forum?
