Just bought an un used set of clifford headers and would like some feed back on them please. For a 1995 4.9L They are black and not ceramic coated or anything, should i wrap them or do anything before i bolt them on? Thx.

Wrapping headers voids the warranty on most. Supposedly rusts them out. They look slicker than Hedmans if you ask me.

I hear they are tuned a little better as well, gives a better sound and adds a few more horses than hedman's. But i won't know till i try both and sadly one at a time haha. Anyone else have any suggestions on wrapping or ceramic coating? They are painted flat black it looks like right now as in the picture online.

Ceramic coating such as Jet Hot is alway's nice, but expensive. I've never had good luck with wrapping exhaust, but that was all on VW's where they were subject to a lot of moisture being exposed. If you have the money, coat them.

Just priced it, i think its worth the $260 for a lifetime warrenty on the headers, coating, basically EVERYTHING! so for $260 more i get a shiny pare of headers that resist heat more and look better than the black IMO and a lifetime warranty. Very much worth the money. Just gotta save up a bit more and send them off. Tax return comes in soon!
