This may be a stupid question, if so then the answer will be short. But what changes occurred from 04 to 05 on the excursion, versus the F250? I was looking at an aftermarket track bar that replaces the factory joints with heims, and the picture said it was on an 05 F250, which clearly had front coil springs in the picture. I know the front sheet metal on the excursions changed in 05 but I thought the 05 excursions still used leaf springs like my 04.
The super duty trucks DID switch to the coil spring suspension in 05, while the excursion kept its leaf spring suspension from previous years. so aside from the sheetmetal, no substantial differences. So parts that say they will fit "05 F250" will not fit any year of the excursion, but parts that fit up to 04 F250 will fit the 05 excursion.

Correct, when shopping for '05 EX gifts look for '99-'04 F-250 items.

Can definitely attest to leaf-springs in the front on the '05...crappy ones at that! However, if you start talking engine (specifically 6.0), I've been learning lately there are quite a bit of changes between the '04 and '05...FICM specifically.
