I take it back to the dealer today, we'll see what they have to say. Is there any chance I'll get a refund on the processor I bought that I don't need even though they said I did?
Thanks for the article on reading the codes, after today I may have to dig in, it didn't have pictures.
I've heard before about the intake gaskets. How much should something like that cost to repair if indeed that is the problem?
I got the truck back this afternoon, they said the problem is the throttle positioning sensor, I should also replace the throttle body because the teflon has deteriorated and it will gallop idle or even stall, all and all $670.00. I declined......
They did not charge me again for the diagnostics and gave me a full refund for the processor they had me buy from them.
I'll replace the sensor tonite and let you know....
I'm pleased to report the truck is now OK, the throttle position sensor was replaced ($40.00) and I got a refund on the processor. It was a tough battle and I'm pleased the Ford dealer made good with all.
Thanks to all for your assistance, I learned much and I can assure you this won't happen to me again, well maybe but if it does I'll be sure to seek your wisdom and advise.
