I purchased a pair of the 5w cree led bulbs for my 2000 F250 Super Duty and wow compared to the original halogen bulb it really lights up my rear end.
(truck that is) I have a canopy with the limo black glass all the away around and I have to depend on my mirrors to see whats back there after physically verfiying whats there of course like all Ford drivers do. They are on sale for under $40.00 dollars plus postage. The bulbs sure beat having to hang some back up lamps underneath the back of my truck. Just this winter I have had to replace two light assemblies.
Thought I would pass this on to everyone here. Let them know Dean from Fairbanks, AK sent yaa.

There is a special name for those kind of LED with the focusing head on top. I've seen cheaper and more powerful types on eBay. But considering your tints, maybe you need something a little more powerful?
