So I looked at my wheel again last night, really got my head in there so I could get a good look. I could see that the wheel was chipped and scrached up on the edges, so I am going to order a new wheel now.
Is there a better wheel than the stock or w.w.? I do a lot of towing and hauling so maybe the w.w. is better for me?
I just bought the stock wheel for $44.80. Its the cheapest and I have not had any surge so why would I need a wheel to reduce surge right? Oh well, hope I made the right choice. Should be doing this Sunday night and during next week. I need to use the truck Saturday.
HOLY CRAP! Getting the turbo out was soo hard! I got everything off it in 30 min or less but the two clamps that hold the exhust pipes to it would not come off. I got the bolts off them real easy but they were so stuck. Took me 1.5hrs to get it out and i cut my finger so bad i could use a couple stiches. Damn!
I hammered them so hard i bent them real good. The back one was just too stuck and I could not get to the bottom of it with a hammer. I'll clean everything real good and probably get new clamps. That should allow them to come off easy next time.
I just finished pluging the ebpv hole, came out good.
But then I noticed that something is broken off on top of the pedestal. I saw it in the bottom of my turbo the other night but didn't really think about it. Is this important? Do I need a new pedestal now?
