Help with trans swap issue

I have a 99 F250 with 4r100. Swapped in a 4r100 from an 03 E350. Everything bolt up and works but shifting is not right. OSS on old trans is magnetic but on van trans the OSS is gear driven. Is it possible to tap the vss harness at the diff and splice into the oss harness. Both are supposed to be "hall" type senders. Will there be a voltage drop to contend with?

If you splice into the VSS you probably will now have two bad signals instead of one. Also the VSS reads a different frequency than the OSS is expecting.
