What exactly would I be looking for between a custom cab and a regular cab. I haven't had a lot of experience with the older Fords.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Cool truck. Looks like you've a nice project for yourself. Radio looks like a transplant from another vehicle.

Man that's a nice truck. Ya the pic's aint easy by any means. I just had to print out the instructions that I keep posting because I was trying to use the old system and it won't work at all for me. But I got the album updated after several hours of resizing and uploading. Now I'm hungry.

Has the intake been swapped? It looks like it has an oil fill tube in it.

If I read my parts book right (Please correct me if wrong, ND), that speedometer assy. was only used on 2X4 custom cabs.

C1TZ17255E = 65/66 F100/F250 4X4 Custom Cab, 65/66 F100/F250 Standard Cab

C5TZ17255A = 65/66 F100/F250 2X4 Custom Cab

I am not doubting what you say. Both mine and my Grandpa's F250's have factory throttle cables that were never installed in F250's . Anything is possible.

His memory has failed him, because ONLY 1958/64 FE engines have an oil fill tube, which means the intake manifold is not original to your truck.

1958/64 FE (Passenger Car only) engines also have rounded valve covers with no holes in them for oil caps or a smog valve.

1965/76 FE engines have pent roofed shaped valve covers with holes in them for oil cap/smog valve. 1965 was the first year FE engines (1965/67: 352 / 1968/76 360/390) were installed in F100/350's.

So, from the pic you posted, the valve covers are correct for your truck, but the intake manifold is not...since it has an oil fill tube.

OP is in Canada. If this truck was assembled and sold new in Canada, the radio is correct.

What F250's might those be?

C5TZ-9A758-AH .. 20" Accelerator Cable = 1965/66 F100/250 352 2WD only.

The only F100/250 4WD accelerator cables listed are for 240/300's, 1965 is different than 1966.

I'm going to have to look into deeper when the manifold was changed and this is a Canadian truck. From everything else you saw do you think this truck is up to a total restore? I don't want to sell it but just to have.
