This morning when I went to turn my truck on I broke something and now the key will turn 360 degrees and I cant start it. I need to find a way to bypass the ignition to a toggle switch so I am able to start it.. any suggestions or links to help me fix the problem?
Well I dont know if its the same but I just replaced the ignition switch lock cylinder in my 95 the other day. Unfortunately if you can't turn the truck to run/start it may be much more difficult to remove the cylinder.
But how I removed mine was by turning it to start/run, removing the lower plastic shroud around the steering column, and if you look underneath where the cylinder is there is a pin hole and you will see a small pin which is connected to the cylinder. You take a small screw drive or pick and push it in once its in your can pull the whole unit out.
