Which one?

I know this forum is for IDI diesels and this question partly related to an IDI diesel
Which truck would you rather have?
1993 F350 crewcab 4x4 5spd. 7.3idi w/banks sidewinder. 390k miles

or 2005 F350 crewcab 4x4 6spd. 6.0. 275k miles. This truck also has a hydraulic winch mounted to it.

I am looking at both truck and seek your input.

Thanks
Eastside

Would really depend on price and what you want to do with your truck. I have a 94 F250 4X4 with the 7.3 IDI with a factory turbo and I love my truck. The newer diesels are really great trucks with a lot of power but are really expensive when you need parts for them. For example I can buy all 8 fuel injectors for my IDI for almost the same cost as 1 fuel injector for a PSD. So really depends on what you need the truck for and personal choice.

HANDS DOWN THE 93 WITH THE 7.3IDI !
that engine would be getting close to the end of it's life , and with that truck if you wanted to you could swap any diesel in there !

3500$ for 390k miles? I don't know about your area, but the body better be in show room condition for that price!

3,500 bucks , if one put a new engine and tranny in it and lots of other work to make it the way they like you would have a like new truck without spending 50,000 bucks !
