Its all liberal do good-er BS. They need to pride themselves on something, since driving a prius doesnt do it for them. Its their logic, who cares if it uses 2x more fuel, the polar bears and the tropical spider monkeys will be saved by it!

And yes, with proper maintenance PSD injectors can last 350k

like said before, it is a trade off. you can have reduced exhaust emissions coming out the tail pipe, everything needed for that reduces mpg, so then you stop at the pump more often. on the other hand you could have an exhaust system like our IDI's have that is just a pipe with a muffler on it. good mpg's. the thing with that though is no emission control, but you do pass by a few more fuel pumps.

so what i am trying to say here is that in the long run it all would equal out. as a result of needed more fuel b/c of the lower mpg, more fuel needs to be produced and used.
