I could have sworn I read a thread here once that described what model years the blue spring upgrade was good for. I looked in the Tech Folder and I searched the site. I looked at a few of the threads but, to be honest, there were like hundreds to look through. I also did a Google search.
I seem to remember that Ford starting installing the updated springs at a certain model year but maybe my memory is faulty (VERY likely ).
Anyway, I have an 06 6.0L and was wondering if I should do the upgrade. A recent thread said I "might" get a bit less turbo lag. That would be cool.
I have a MY '07 truck born in 6/06, dad's is 7/06, and neither had it installed from the factory. I'm going to go with that means Ford never did it unless the truck came back in under warranty with low fuel press causing an issue.
Install a fuel pressure gauge, then install the spring if you need it. Odds are you will. IIRC, the kit comes with all the parts for an 03-07.
