Ive got a 06 f250 4x4 diesel and ive noticed the rear leaf springs do not have an overload leaf. Is this normal? or could they have been taken out as part of the leveling? there isnt even the brackets for the leaf to push against.
Thanks for the help

Yes. In F250s, the overloads aren't included in back unless you get one of the optional equipment packages (the F350SRW always have them). Quoting from the 2005 Body Builders Guide:
(3) Auxiliary rear spring available and included with Camper Package, Heavy Service Suspension Package, Snow Plow Prep Package and Heavy Service Package For Pickup Box Delete only.
Without them the F250 has a rear GAWR of 6100lb. With them it gets the same 7000lb the F350SRW has.
If there is a kit I'm sure it would include everything. I'm sure the frame already has the mounting holes.
You may also be able to pick the parts up from a junk yard. The spring is held onto the top of the axle by the u-bolt bracket. The rear bracket is bolted to the frame, I can see that on mine. But I can't tell if the forward one is riveted, or if those are just carriage bolt heads I see.
my trucks a little older but it did'nt come with overload springs...2000 f350 srw. i'd lke to add them also. it certainly looks like the frame rails are drilled already.
I bought new take off leafs that sat unused for several years which had them, and bought the brackets and rubber insulators from ed and mounted them using grade 8 bolts and nylock nuts. Easy enough except a little tricky getting behind the fuel tank area to install the 1 bracket.
Rather than going to the effort of installing an overload leaf, have you considered an air-spring helper setup? It provides passive leveling when needed, and you could almost forget it's even there when not.

that worked for me.i bought my truck w/ a levelng kit installed already. my truck would look like it was overloaded with very little weight in it.
Well i did put airbags on my truck because i hated that it squated with very little in the back. I was just curious if they were removed due to a leveling kit or what not i just havent had air in my bags for a bit cause my compressor went out but ive got one coming in today to fix that ohh and the horns too lol
i just re-read your first post. i think your confused about leveling kits. a leveling lifts the front end to match the height of the rear end. you stated you think that your rear overloads were removed to level the truck...that would'nt do it. overload springs only make contact with the stops, when you have weight in the rear. they can't lower the trucks rear.
