Is the dome light timer programmable? Mine stays on for at least 5 minutes after I shut the door and stays on for at least 45 seconds when I start up the Ex. After doing some searching of the forum, I swapped relay 4 and 5 and it didn't change anything.
That is why we do the dome delete mod. Basically adds a switch so when you want dome lights, switch on, don't want dome lights, switch off. Search for it as there are a few write ups on this.

They should go right out. Clean the connections in the rear hatch and slam it hard. You might need a switch in one of the 5 doors also.

5 minutes is way too long...sounds like your power safety relay is what is shutting them down. I'm thinking a bad door latch sensor. Hit all of them with a LOT of WD40 or the like to clean out the dust and gunk...should do the trick.
I will try the WD40 trick. I just did the lock actuator modification on the hatch and 3 of the side doors so I'm not opposed to trying the dome override mod too.

Take pics...I've seen a few different ways to do it, so the more photos out there of the mod, the better!

Actually the light oil displaces the water so it can make a connection. Oil and water can't share the same space.
??? It's not always water that is causing the problem...the point is a lubricant like WD40 fixes just about any cause...not just water.
But it is 90% of the time in the winter and oil takes it's place to fix the problem. It's not the cleaning properties it has, it's the ability to take place of the water to make a connection.
