Keyless entry question

My local dealership just fixed my wobbly gear shifter by replacing the shifter and the bushings in the column. The truck had an aftermarket K9 alarm on it that didn't work so hot, but when I unlocked the doors, the interior lights came on and the exterior lights flashed (not the headlights). The day I picked the truck up from Ford, when I unlocked my door, it sounded like every relay in the dash was going haywire and the exterior lights blinked to the rythym of the relay clicking sounds and the interior lights did not come on. I took it back to Ford yesterday so they could "plug the aftermarket system back in" and then the keyless entry did not work at all. So today I took it back and was told the K9 module is what was making the clicking noise that I heard so they just removed it the day before and didnt tell me. So today, they gave me a factory key fob and it unlocks the door using the factory system, but no lights work. When I press lock twice, the horn honks and the headlights flash like it should, but there is no confirmation of anything with a unlock or lock. Is there a way to personalize this? Some F150's and Silverados I had I was able to set the headlights to come on for 30 seconds when unlock was pressed, ALL of my trucks have had the interior lights come on when you unlock the doors and they have all at least flashed the brake lights and front turn signals when you both locked and unlocked the doors. I do not see anything in the owners manual about this, so if anyone knows, I would appreciate some advise. BTW it is a 2000 XLT V10 4X4.

Thanks,
Ryan

yeah thats how mine works, and when you unlock it the interior lights come on. I know I was surprised when I bought mine that there is no horn flash or anything... kinda sucks. I can't believe they butchered your **** that bad, and didn't tell you. They shouldn't have unhooked the alarm without your permission.

Yes they should have. Does anyone know away to enable/disable the interior and running board lights from coming on when doors are unlocked?
