272 starter trouble!!!
The starter spins, but it sounds like its not engaging the flywheel??? If I have to replace the starter does anybody know of anywhere to get one for a reasonable amount?..
Just a side note.. Since I bought my truck I have pretty much lived on this website... Its amazing and so are the members. All have been extremely helpful.

Very possible a broken bendix spring. If not the spring, the bendix is next suspect. Lets hope the teeth are still all on the flywheel ring gear. With the dust cover removed from the clutch housing you can look up and see the starter bendix. Your best bet is to find a local starter generator alternator shop. Most of the aftermarket suppliers handle them but expensive.
