I have a 1988 F-250 4x4 (that has been used as a snow plow truck) and I'm haveing problems with the E.F.I. I would like to go to a carb. I say all that to ask this is the intake the same on a 302 and 351w? (looking for a 4 barrel intake)
Hold on here. What's going on with your EFI that you want to go Carb? Perhaps it's something simple.
plow truck... the salt has really got to this truck. It brunt up two computers , seems to run best on a 300. 6cly computer and now cant get it running (left sit for a year or so bc of these problems)

Well i can understand that it wont run on a computer that used a different firing order...but u got a computer to work that, not only has a different firing order, but a completely different number of cylinders?
I am just not understanding why it will run on the 300 EEC and not the 5.0 EEC. It won't have all its power on the 5.0 EEC, but it should still run. It shouldn't run on the 4.9(300) EEC.

His truck will have batch fire injection. So firing order, like 5.0 or 5.8 doesn't matter.
