Remove all oil pan bolts. Remove engine mount to frame fasteners. Jack the engine up about an inch or two. Slide the oil pan rearward. Remove the two bolts that secure the oil pickup to the engine. Remove pan. That simple.

For the oil pickup tube and the pan bolts, the torque spec is only 10 ft-lbs. so common sense is all that's needed to determine how tight you need to go.

Hi. Does this work on a 2003 2WD F350 DRW with the 6.0? What location is safe for jacking the engine from and do I need to disconnect anything from the motor first? Am I likely to be able to get the motor mount bolts out without a torch? My oil pan is not lookng very good and I'd feel better if I could change it. Any chance the 2WD does not need the engine to be lifted?

Thanks

Make sure the engine is supported good before sticking your hands in the pan.

The pump is in the front cover, not in the pan, so that's a different can of worms. Replacing the pan is just the opposite of Mike's removal instructions.
