I have a '78 F-150 4x4, 351m, Manual, which will start and run to idling temp., or shortly longer, then just cut-off, as if I turn key off.
It used to not start back up til sitting for long while. I replaced: coil, plugs, plug wires, battery, voltage regulator, ignition module,
starter solenoid, dist. cap, rotor button, all with new parts. Now when it cuts off, it will start back up and cut right back off. Please
H-E-L-P, I'm going nuts!!!!, It's driving me to drink!!!
I had the same problem in my 76' did you replace the module in the distributor that plugs in to the harness? I replaced the one in my truck in about 10min for I think$12 just dont loose the little clips that hold the distributor guts in. Hope this solves the problem.
