Fix a problem to cause a problem

Ok, so this weekend I decided to put on the sinister coolant filter to help my 6.0. I thought it might be a good idea to flush my system. Did that, and put on the coolant filter. NOW my eot and ect are in the high 190's( barely ever saw 190*F before flush) and goes to almost 210 up a not to huge hill. So I'm wondering if I just trashed my Oil cooler or if I should try to flush it again?
What y'all think, any help is great help.
Thanks

Coolant and oil temps in the 190's are normal, really...the thermostat doesn't even begin to open until 192. What's more important is the difference you're seeing in temperature between oil & coolant. A large spread (15 degrees or more continuously) indicates that the oil cooler isn't working as efficiently as it should be and probably has restricted coolant flow due to the small coolant passages getting clogged with debris.

Did you use VC9 or some other type of scale remover/cleaner when you did the flush?

I used the Prestone flush and about 20gal of distilled water. Couldn't find restore so I went with that. I took the thermostat out and ran it for about an hr and also drove it around to get the temps up, then repeated with just distilled water until it was free of degree and clean. I understand the normal temp range but it just won't cool down like it used to. I had to pull off the freeway the other day cuz my ect was 200 and my eot 210.The whole reason I did the flush was because it was get close to 15*F difference.

Yeah that seems a little bit hot, especially considering the time of year. Might be a good idea to get some more opinions in the 6.0 forum.
