Hi guys. So I just took my truck to the shop to have it diagnosed and I have 4 bad injectors. I have a 2006 6.0 F350. I was wondering if anyone had a good online source for the stock injectors so I could buy online. The other four were replaced by Ford when my truck was traded in 17,000 miles ago so I would like to match what they would have installed. Any help would be great!! Thanks!!
Recommend checking a couple of other things before replacing another 4 fuel injectors. If the injectors are indeed bad, something probably caused them to fail. Low fuel pressure is the most likely problem.
Check fuel pressure first and verify that it is normal (45 psig or greater). Fuel filters that have not been changed, or incorrect replacement filters can cause injector problems.
Check your FICM and verify that it is producing the correct output voltage (48 volts or so). Excellent instructions are in this forum.
With luck, you will not need to replace injectors. I have essentially the same vehicle as yours and have had zero injector issues. Many other folk probably have had no problems.
Thanks Lou...... Unfortunately I know why the injectors went bad and it was caused by fuel pressure. My FICM voltage is perfectly fine, I change my filters when I should and I use fuel additive on every fill up. Thanks.
