I decided to keep my truck and do a few things to it. I've got my eye set on rough country as a buddy of mine has the lift kit on his 99 F150 and loves it. I am not looking at the lift kit or anything at the moment, just going to get the rear shocks, nitro 9000's. I was considering buying an add-a-leaf to give my rear a 1-2inch lift and putting a 3inch HBS level kit on the front. Any suggestions other then doing that? I really need to replace my front struts to but I don't know nothing about suspension on these trucks and can't find a really good quick strut... Is it possible to just buy the shock as my coils are still good. A nitro 9000 wouldn't fit in there would it?
If you want to replace the front strut and plan to raise it go with the Rancho strut kit. It gives the front end a lift of up too 4" and then you can add the new shocks to the rear and won't need the front spacer from hell bent.
Yeah, if you need new struts, I recommend getting the Rancho Quick-Lift (loaded with coil), OR Bilstein or Pro-Comp adjustable lift struts to use with original coils. No need to purchase a level kit AND struts. Just replaced my level kit with the Rancho Quick-lifts. Had the level spacers installed since truck was relatively new.

Rancho quick struts only raise truck 2inches according to advanced auto and summit racing's application for them.
Coskid you have a 1inch lift in the rear, is it add-a-leaf or a block because a block would be cheaper. I can't say 100% if my front struts are bad I know my rear shocks are shot truck bed vibrates/bounces going down the road real bad. I know the front needs new control arms and tie rod ends which I have ordered from rockauto today right along with the integrated wheel hubs from tousley for my 4x4 system.
I found blocks from rough country that raise the rear 2inches I was thinking of going with that.
