Installed Retrosolutions HIDs on my 2012 F250 and now dome lights flash on for a second then turn off. Also have a audible pop noise out of the front passenger speaker when fogs are turned off. Both headlights and fogs have 35w HIDs with relays. Thanks for any ideas
Sounds like something isn't wired quite right, but it's not always easy to find. I suggest getting it scanned with a good scan tool to look for codes in the BCM.
I had a problem on my '08 with a set of HID's on the low beams. The problem was because on the '08 each low beam, left side and right side- had it's own fuse in the fuse box. In other words the left low beam and right low beam were each an individual circuit. The relay harness I bought was a 2 in and 2 out single relay circuit. So it tied the left and right low beam circuits together when I had it connected.
I don't know if thats the case with the '11 or not, because I haven't looked into doing HID's yet, but a simple test (assuming you're using a 2 in and 2 out relay harness) would be to disconnect the input on one side, and see what happens when you turn them on. The other way to check, would be to just see if the low beams or fogs have a shared fuse or if they are separate like they were on the '08's
