Well, good for you! I was about to quote your response re the T-5, which was right after the video and ...... fun posts, to say "Hey guys, he's no fun! We can't even get him to deviate from his planned course with an off-the-wall video!" But, either you read slowly or ..... don't rise to the bait quickly.
Next we will require a 65 page dissertation on why you choose one transmission over the other including references and step by step instructions. Mindless gibbering and stray thoughts get you extra credit...
Actually I didn't look at the video until after I read and replied to the other posts.Oh I'll rise to the bait allright and I will run a few chum lines of my own!!

Hey, watch it! As my father would say, I resemble that statement.
I just watched the video.... Ummmm... What the heck did I just watch? Looked like a PSA that needed to be on MST3K and brutally made fun of. Was that large woman in a baby crib? Why was she in a baby crib? Who the heck is the woman in the dress? Caretaker? Did the egg man eat paint chips as a child? So many questions... I think I need to go lie down.
It's a clip from Pink Flamingos. It's midnight cinema, movie house filth, from back in them hippie days. John Waters was introduced to me when I was 15 by an older woman I was enamored with. I've been ruined ever since.
And to be fair, I'm sick and hopped up on cold medicine. OPs screen name reminded me of it and thought I'd share. You've all been infected by filth. Enjoy.
Just remember that the truck is heavier than a Mustang... As for where the shifter lines up, it's probably going to be farther back and you'll likely have to run buckets. The TKO has multiple shifter locations.
Well I have reconsidered turning this truck into a hot rod.It seems tat the p.o. had kept all the oil change and maint. records and this truck has 130,000 original miles.I mean everything on the engine is still there and functional. The carb throttle is frozen but it will still start and idle great!Oh and by the way it is an 83 not 84 as I thought. The only thing I need to adress is the absense of third gear in the TOD trans. The po had dual exhaust run but put two mini cats on when he did it.i thought that was cool

Yeah, I know how you feel. I have a sbc with extra hi-perf. parts in my shed just waiting to be put together. Originally, I had thought about putting it in my truck. After getting on this forum and finding out that I can get 300,000+ miles out of my 4.9L with normal maintenance I shelved that idea. I have a little over 180,000 on it now, and it runs like a champ.

Excuse me, but a Chevy engine in a Ford truck? What were you thinking? Oh, right - you weren't.
