Cleaned egr sensor and idle air sensor and still truck is stumbling say after i slow down or stop and start to accerate it will stumble not back fire.
I have a fuel tank issue that going to be fixed soon back tank has a hole in top ( going to replace tank and sending unit with pump and strainer ), front tank pump is bad going to replace that one when i pull the bed too .New fuel filter is on now and going to replace again when i replace tanks and all
Now what would cause engine or trans to stumble is the problem i cant figure out plus fuel mileage suckkkkkkkkkks big time and no check engine light ?
Vacuum leaks are the common cause of an off idle stumble, and on an old truck the prime suspct is the juice can(vacuum resovoir) on the passenger inner fender. I suggest you take it off and inspect the bottom.. it often rusts out there, and if it does have holes in it replace with a plastic resovoir from a newer truck. The next big culprit are the vacuum lines themselves, it should be obvious if they are broken but sometimes they split too, and last of all is the brake booster, sometimes they leak but not in a way that affects the brakes... just the vacuum signal.
another common problem is if someone put those fancy platinum spark plugs in the engine.
these engines will not run on them.
just because they cost more does not mean they are better.
you need good old cheap motorcraft or autolite copper core spark plugs.
