Column shift lever

My OD button/diagnostic light is broken off. Napa doesn't stock the whole assy. for my model year but I found this, so I'm going to try to find a super duty (longer) or Old Body Style (shorter) shift lever or who knows Napa may stock it for the trucks?

I'm thinking many of the column components cross body styles; E's, F's etc all being very very similar. Model years should extend from '97 into at least '02 so NAPA should have something suitable as a replacement.

I don't think and could be wrong but there's no real advantage looking for another type of shift lever---they rarely break at least in my experience. The OD switch and its little trim button are replaceable which I'm sure you already know.

if all else fails try the local stealership or RockAuto.com

BTW that's a great article and write on you've found---should maybe be part of our tech folder here too!
