Header question
Ive got an 82 F100 Flairside 2wd. Pulled the 302 and am putting in a 351W.
Since ive torn out the entire exhaust system, can i use the shorty style headers off e-bay that is marketed for the Mustangs and run custom mufflers/pipes out the back? Will i have any clearence issues with those headers? Looking at it, as long as they dump out the back, i should be OK. Im just worried about clearence below the header close to the motor mount and engine crossmember.

Well, the short answer is, "It depends." I used BBK's equal length shorty headers and had to trim the firewall just a bit on the drivers side. Maybe I wouldn't have had that issue if I had used a different style. It did fit, though.
