Im 6'9 and have a 2011 ford f250 lariet. Does anybody know if there is a way I can lower the seat in my truck. It is down as low as it will go and I am still riding with my head on the roof.

I would try some place like summit racing. I would bet they have something that would work and still be safe.

Do you have the seat adjusted down all the way? I'm guessing you have a sunroof, that makes you lose a few inches of head room.

2011 Lariat... I don't feel sorry for you

I'm 6'10", and with the power seat adjusted all the way down in my 2000, I have loads of headroom. Maybe an older bracket might help?

I hope you find a solution because I'm only 6'3" and I have head clearance issues too. If I sit up straight (with seat all the way down) my head does brush the roof. The seat brackets are much taller than they need to be. If there are no shorter brackets that will work, can they be fabricated and still be safe? I told my salesman about this and he didn't admit to knowing about it, but after further discussion he said they usually keep the seat leaned back on the lot. So I tried to peg him in to admitting they know about this issue.

I think my next step is taking my truck to a seat cover shop and maybe see if there is a way he can maybe cut down the cushion in the seat a couple of inches because they are pretty thick!!

Man that's strange, I'm 6'5" and have plenty of room in my 2000 superduty but I do have the seat all the way down and reclined in my wife's 08 explorer with sunroof. If you can shorten the brackets I'm wondering how much room ya got to the bump in the floor pan? I wouldn't go hacking foam out of the seat, after awhile you'll probably regret it when your *** is sitting on the frame..Hahha.

Reminds me of an old movie with Kareem Abdul Jabbar (I think) driving a VW Bug. He just ripped the front seat out and sat in the back seat to drive.

If you have an extra cab truck....
