Im 6'9 and have a 2011 ford f250 lariet. Does anybody know if there is a way I can lower the seat in my truck. It is down as low as it will go and I am still riding with my head on the roof.

well if your arm's are long enough recline the seat back that's what I have to do in small car's but I am only 6'3
That's what I can't get from my local dealer wether or not an older seat bracket will work. I guess it's to much work to punch the buttons on the ole computer!!!
I hope you find a solution because I'm only 6'3" and I have head clearance issues too. If I sit up straight (with seat all the way down) my head does brush the roof. The seat brackets are much taller than they need to be. If there are no shorter brackets that will work, can they be fabricated and still be safe? I told my salesman about this and he didn't admit to knowing about it, but after further discussion he said they usually keep the seat leaned back on the lot. So I tried to peg him in to admitting they know about this issue.
I think my next step is taking my truck to a seat cover shop and maybe see if there is a way he can maybe cut down the cushion in the seat a couple of inches because they are pretty thick!!
Im not sure how my friend had his seat adjusted, but i drove his 2011 lariat crew cab with a sun roof the other day and im 6'4 and had plenty of clearance between my head and the roof
Man that's strange, I'm 6'5" and have plenty of room in my 2000 superduty but I do have the seat all the way down and reclined in my wife's 08 explorer with sunroof. If you can shorten the brackets I'm wondering how much room ya got to the bump in the floor pan? I wouldn't go hacking foam out of the seat, after awhile you'll probably regret it when your *** is sitting on the frame..Hahha.
