I need to reinstall my sway bar with some new end links. The problem is I think I'm missing something. Where the end link attaches to the frame, there is a bolt through the eyelet on the frame and into the eye on the end link, but the eye on the frame looks like it needs a bushing. The bolt doesnt fill the hole.
Each manufacturer has different design, so how about the picture? On my Airstream the hitch has ball welded for one end of the SW, while the second ball is bolted to the trailer tongue.

The sound of silence! I am curious, mine is an 01 CC. The bracket your bolt is in, on mine, is on top of the frame rail, not under like yours? Am I seeing that right?
Mine has the bolt going from the outside of the frame through the bracket, the link attaches to that, and I don't remember there being anything else in the bracket.
Hope someone else will shed some light on this.
Good luck.

Mine may not be factory. A picture of a factory one would be nice.
Trey, I think mine is like the other poster mentioned, through the frame. I need to replace bushings and was planning on working on it tomorrow. Will take a pic or two for you. It's a 2000 and not sure if there are any differences. Here's a not so good pic from a while back.
It undoubtedly is because of my lift which is a crappy lift.. I have stacked block in the rear. I am getting rid of this who lift kit as soon as I can. Maybe I will get an aftermarket sway bar instead of trying to figure out this one.
Trey is that on the passenger side? I think that bracket is mounted the wrong way... on my truck on the passenger side that bracket is mounted inside the frame rail and the sway bar link hugs right upto it.
Pro comp lift came with a bracket to box the link end to eliminate what your going through, my old kit had the same problem with the bolt just flopping around in the bracket.
