The one in my sig registers a solid 14 unloaded highway with 4.10's but the tires are a bit too small, I think it's in the 13's somewhere. My other bricknose was a 302/5spd with a fiberglass topper and it's best was in the high 15's... makes the bigger engine look like the better choice.

That was sorta my thinking. I here of guys saying the get worse with a 5.8. The other day was telling me the 460's were useless gas hogs, and I've heard a lot of that. Bur in my experience they do well with stock tires. A friend if mine was getting 16 in 98 with a new leftover 97. It was a ECSB 2wd with 3.55's.
Haha MPG Efficiency and 460s...never thought Id see that in the same sentance...LOL J/K I get about 9.3 mixed hwy/city on an stock '89 4x4 Auto but I dont think my trans is kicking into high gear, 2800-3000rpm at 55mph just dosent seam right....LOL
