I'll take a break from my regular routine weekend work on the house thingy and click on the big screen plasma, drink beer, eat hot wings, get fat, on SB Sunday. I really lost interest in the football season after I lost so many bets this year, LOL. But I am feeling re-invigorated so I will go place another bet at the local casino, just to keep it interesting for Super Bowl Sunday. Hopefully next year wont be so disappointing. I did win first place on Fantasy Football though.
Saturday I'll be laying tile... Yuck, gotta work. But Sunday will be a nice break.
Don't envy on that job. Nothing worse than laying on the ground trying to man handle a 400 pound transmission. Unless of course you have a shop like Stacey David's with every tool known to man, and several lifts etc.
You really know how to have fun.
I have to work so I will at least get to see part of the game.
Haven't watched for some time as I have no TV at home so this will be a treat actually.
I was planning on borrowing a tile saw from a fellow member of my VFD to get my floor in yesterday. I went to his house first thing in the morning. While loading it into my truck, I asked if there was anything in particular I needed to know about the workings of his saw. He stated just to make sure to keep the pump under the water and pulled on the pump to try and twist it to set flat in the bottom of the reservoir... Guess what? When he twisted the pump, with the tubing being so hard from such cold temps yesterday morning, the nipple broke off from the pump. Arrrg, so we tried to fix it and broke it worse. (tip: never try to work with plastic while it is brittle cold).
So, I guess I aint gonna do my tile floor until next weekend as we have to order a new pump on-line. I swear, sometimes I think that I'm just not meant to finish this stupid remodel.
I was going to work over the front on the super but . . .
It was damn cold in the garage, 38 until 2:00. Then I fouled up my
valve on the compressor so no air tools and no joy at the local 'hardware' store. It gets to wait until next weekend now.
Oh the joys of winter, could be worse I guess. Trying to do it in the yard on a snow day.
So today, it's work and part of the game at least.
Wow, Dan is having all the fun! You going to be doing the raising by yourself or do you have help? Are you going to raise the outlets too, or keep them where they are?
