If the EOT is bad, you may see the EBPV closing when it shouldn't (assuming it is plugged in and in working order), I would thing you may also see very low boost numbers as the PCM won't fully adjust the ICP until it sees the EOT up to operating temperatures. If you have access to AE or a scangauge it will read the EOT and then there will be no doubt.
