an update for those interested....I called the company and a real nice fella helped me with my prob...installed today and it works as advertised....thanks Dfuser...Ford want stupid money for their AIC....
How do you like your new AIC? Ive read of other people trying to put thier own version on the truck but havent been able to keep a steady RPM, does this one work like a factory installed unit? Any wiring diagrams for us that want to do the same?
it holds RPM steady....the instructions that came with it were for newer than'95 models....my wires didn't match the destructions...they gave me the matching wire colors and it works....kudo's for another product that works and caters to the average guy!!
edit to add: the unit came with male connectors...I got the right sized female connectors and added about 12" of 16 gauge wire...then used bigger clips( 14-16 gauge ) to tap into the harness...then of course I tie strapped the wires and used a 2nd tie strap to tuck the wires up where they aren't a hindrance...mounted the pot beside the fuse box cover...
2nd edit: it could be they shipped female connectors and I needed male connector....still a pretty painless mod to warm the truck up in the morning and avoid what folks call "wet stacking"...
