Now that I got your attention - been doing some battery testing this morning. Two Ford diesel pickups (one of them my '08 6.4), both with dual batteries. One battery out of each set will not load test. One set are Motorcraft 750 cold cranks. The other set are Diehard Gold 875 cold cranks. The case sizes are identical. I believe I'll put the two good batteries together in the '08 for now. I'd never pair a new battery with an old one, but don't think these two old ones that both test good will be a bad match. What say ye?
They are parallel, Chi. If they were in series it'd be a 24V. Got the two good uns cleaned, electrolyte checked, Whipped and installed. Starts like a new truck!

As you know, the battery industry says not to mix brands, output capacities, etc., but in this case what do you have to lose? In theory, the battery from the 08 is too old to pair with a new battery anyway.
