Hello All, I have a '78 150 that I'm attempting to replace the rag joint on. My shaft on the steering box is 3/4" and I've ordered a couple used and NOS rag joints (I've ordered a couple over the past month hoping the problem was a mix up in part numbers). I have the same problem with each one I've gotten. They measure in at 11/16". Everybody that I've purchased from tells me this is for a 3/4" shaft. I don't feel that persuading it with a hammer is the right thing to do because I don't see where there is any room for expansion the way these are built. Has anybody else ever experienced this problem? Is it possible they are intended to be pressed on? Thanks, Brian

Here's the reason why you keep buying the wrong part: 1978 F150: There are FOUR different steering couplers (rag joints).
