I have a 95 PSD that I replaced the original fuel pump on at about 175K. I have now developed a leak under the bottom of the fuel pump (from the weep hole I'm assuming). I'm now at 191K so this pump only lasted about 15K. I got a price quoted for a new Motorcraft pump form a local diesel shop for $184 plus tax. I simply do not recall the price or source of the last pump as I put it on in conjunction with a new a/c compressor, tranny, & water pump. Just wondering if that is a good price or if I need to shop around more.
My parts guy told me Carter makes the housing and airtex and everyone else puts their parts in it. If you look at all name brand pumps they all have Carter on em but he could be wrong
