need the plate between engine/trans
Do any of you know where I can get the plate between a 351m and a 4spd manual trans on a 78? When I sold my 351m, I left the plate on it, now I'm finding out I need it for the 460 swap and I'm not having any luck finding one. Is there somewhere you can buy them new or does anyone have one lying around they'd be willing to part with?
btw, what is it actually called?

The one I have is from a 78 with 460/auto, 2wd. I'm not sure what tranny was in it, I guess c6?? From what I hear, it'll fit a 351m/400. I'd get rid of it, I have no use for it.

The OP has a M/T .. not an A/T. So he needs the plate I listed in post #3:
D7TZ-7007-A .
The following is for A/T, what you have, and what you've heard inre to 351M/400.
D1AZ-7007-A ..
A/T Engine/Transmission Rear Cover Plate / Obsolete
Applications: 1977/79 F100/350 351M/400 / 1978/82 Bronco 351M/400 / 1980/82 F150/350 351M/400
1973/79 F100/350 460 / 1975/97 Econoline 460 / 1980/97 F250/350 & F(Super Duty) 460.
1971/73 429 Passenger Cars / 1971/79 400 Passenger Cars / 1973/78 460 Passenger Cars / 1975/79 351M Passenger Cars.

Hmm...a case of mis-identifaction on my part. Some peeps said the same thing for years inre to Jesse James, Bob Ford killed an imposter. But when they dug him up, his DNA matched family members.
They found an entry wound in his skull, but no exit wound...so the hole in the wall at his home in St Joseph (moved downtown) wasn't caused by a bullet that passed thru his skull.

LOL . I think they still claim the hole is from the death shot, I've been to the house years ago, but not recently. It's only about 20mins from me.

It's about 2,000 miles away from me, but I have been there.
