need the plate between engine/trans

Hope you all can help I to have 460 with c6 and I am having starter issues. I have another post regarding this how can I tell if my plate is bad. Can I have the plate fixed, because the starter is loud and I am tired of replacing them.

you know I was looking through a bunch of old shop manuals. They sell a starter shim for the 460. I was wondering if you don't have the plate could you use that shim on the starter to keep the clearance right. I thought it was a great idea,but like everything else might be to good to be true

Brian I believe I have one, but I will not be off the road till the 9th April so.....keep looking and I will ck for you as soon as I get to the house/shop.

Also you can get one from autozone. They are 80 bucks but they are twice as thick and may help out on the 460 swap.
