Good luck, remember it's "how bad do you want it". Hopefully it's as solid as it looks.
Yeah no kidding. I did find one hole in the cab right under the edge of the drivers seat. Cab corners were done.
I didn't see the rear rot in the cab of my 78 longbed. So I can't put my kids in it for a ride... So the truck isn't worth much to me now, may put it up for sale but would like for it to be a family project. My daughter loves to go for rides in it around the yard. Just can't go at street speed.
I get the truck Sunday as far as I know. The guy is acting weird. We'll see if he shows up for the trade.

Stick to your deal, it sounds ok but 4500 NO WAY. If he is getting weird he found a sucker to pay what he is asking. Just cause HE over paid does not mean YOU have to.
It looks like a 2000 to maybe 2500 $ truck around here in Mo. Plow on a 1/2 ton I bet the front end is worn out from all the extra weight?? Ck it real good, ball joints, radious arm bushings, track bar bushing.
Would you people leave some for me jeese I am stuck over here in Germany and all I see is you people here on FTE buying all the dents up. How am I going to have one for everyone in my family if they are all bought up.
Ok, well he backed out on me again so I am done dealing with this kid. He has it in mommy's name. So just gonna go back to working on mine. Today just bought new rotors, calipers, and pads and they should be in Tuesday.
Back to my old threads...
I live in Ohio... and I thought that was far enough north, but I was wrong.
Canada might have been a better choice. This has been such a warm soggy winter it's been so hard to get anything done. I bet Wyoming would be a beautiful place to call home. The only real good thing about Ohio is how safe it is. Not too much out there to sting you or poison you... and nothing wild bigger than a deer. Safest place I have ever been in my life.
Thanks NW... Yes, Ohio is home. Gonna get this truck on the road again. She hasnt been on the street in a long while. I swapped out the one hub and rotor to just use it as a work truck but then the guy I grabbed it off of got into a jam so I gave it back. So gonna press out the hubs myself. But, gonna stop before I start repeating myself on another thread.
Heading to my thread containing 1978 F-150 SuperCab questions if anyone would like to help me out or follow the thread for info I'll be there.
