Looks nice and new. While that does not inherently mean anything could mean it was in an accident and needed replaced.

Could also mean the previous owner preferred the look of the 78-9 grille. BTW Welcome and thats a nice truck you have. Looks like you live in the desert, palm springs area?

Thanks for the guidance guys. I haven't taken the grill off to inspect the core support yet but I will do that to make sure. I found a couple of places online and that particular project will have to come later.

And lance65... Not Palm Springs but close. I am a bit further north on the 395.

Woo Hoo!! Finally got the battery to crank the engine. Only took about 36 hours of charging to get it there. Looks like I will still be getting a new battery, but it started!

I know the seals and such can shrink if the vehicle has been sitting a while and I was wondering what would be the best plan of action to stop the smoking. If I am remembering correctly, I once had a mechanic tell me that Rislone added to the oil would help with that. Is this correct? Any insight into this matter would be wonderful.
