starting problems and P1405
2000 Expedition 5.4L (127K miles) - recently had misfire codes P0306 & P0307 so, replaced all plugs, #'s 6 & 7 coils, and all boots (had to remove fuel rail on cyl's 5 - 8). afterward, started ok for a few starts but then had trouble. sometimes it starts on 1st key turn but other times, engine acts like it wants to start on 1st turn but then dies. then it takes at least 5, 6, sometimes 10 or more attempts before i can get it to start. still have intermittent starting problems and now i'm getting P1405. i know the P1405 is related to DPFE / EGR issues but can this code cause starting problems or might the starting issues be fuel pump related?
