2003 Tranny problems
I have a 2003 F350SD with the 6L and 5 speed auto trans. It has under 800 miles on it and the tow / haul system is acting strange. At 600 miles I started the truck and found the tow / haul light on (orange light on colum shifter) Pressed the button to turn it to normal operation. now the "ON" light won't come on, when ever I start the truck it is in tow / haul mode. I can switch it back to normal mode if I press the button. When I go over a large bump (railway crossing) it will jump back to tow / haul. The "ON" light does not work at all...... Anybody have an ideas????I am taking it to the dealer on Thurday... BUT... They said they have not yet had to work on a new trans.... This scares me!!!!

Thanks for your comments Mark, by the looks of your profile I would guess you might have an idea about the new 5 speed

Would you have any sugguestions for me to pass onto the dealership?? They have yet to work on the new trans. This makes me uneasy.
When the first problem happened I started the truck, the tow / haul light was on. I turned it off by pressing the button. The light went off. It then came back on, so I pressed it again. the "ON" light flickered three or four times then nothing. Now when I start the truck it comes on in tow/haul mode (with no "ON" light). I can put it in normal mode by pressing the button. If I put the truck into park it jumps back to tow/haul (no "ON" light) the same thing happens if I go over bumps.
