New to the Forum, new to F250's, but not to Ford Trucks.
Been driving F100's and F150's forever!
Just brought home an 05 F250 4X4 CCSB V10 yesterday and have a few questions.
05, is this the 2v or 3v motor? I believe that it is the first year 3v, correct?
What is the fuel capacity? I have read 29 and 30.5, filled up on the way home and from below E I put in 21.5, can't have 8 gallons left from below E? Looks to me to be 24-25g.
Cab marker lights are not working, any ideas? going to check the fuse box today, all other lights are working perfectly.
Also going to spend the day trying to shut off the "autolock" feature and the seatbelt alarm. Thought I had these done, BUT!~! did not take.
Any help, advice or concerns that I should know about, look into?
I gots lots to learn, Would not have a F-150 ever again after buying this F-250! It is 10x the truck, and I thought that the F-150 was the bext truck built!
Got the AutoLock shut off, got the belt dinger shut down also!
Worked for quite a while on the cab clearance lights. All fuses are good, bulbs are all good. Pulled one off and they are brand spanking new lights, just not hooked up!? Looks as if they were installed to cover up the holes in the roof. Any ideas?
Filled it up today, 180 miles to home @ 65-75mph, 20 miles around the yard, up and down the road and a lot of idling, got 11.5mpg!
Look under the headliner and confirm you have the wiring harness hooked up to the lights. I have never heard of someone mounting the lights and not hooking up the wires. If everyone looks good with the harness, check you ground wire and make sure it didn't break, rust, or get knocked loose. If all of that looks good then manually power the lights from the battery or another power source. This will confirm the wires and lights are doing their job. You could put a multimeter in the bulb receptacle to check for power. There are a lot of different ways to check the symptoms you are describing.

Yes, first year of the 3V engine in the Super Duty. The 3V 5.4L was released in 2004 in the F-150.
