[quote=WA_PSD;11354020]OK, so you would recommend the 40T. Is there much difference in power really or shifting? Or, just slight power gain and same shifting along with higher egts? I really appreciate the input. Getting ready to order tomorrow.[/quot
Power and the way the trans shifts and locks the convertor. Like mentioned you can talk to Jody or James, James has an E99 and loves what the chip dose for his. I don't remember but you do have gauges right. Its late and the wife says time to go let the dogs out. God bless,

Thanks chet. I'll probably wait till monday and talk to an expert! Yes, I have gauges.
I only use 80 eco in town and 60 on the freeway. some people like the 80 on the freeway.
I like my gauges but i have to have the trans temp replaced. I don't know yet if it is just the censor or the gauge. they work great but over the last two days. the trans temp has been acting up jumping around.
this company is Very good on replacements if something acts up. No questions asked.. even if they are over a year..

Thanks for the info. Replacing parts after a year? Pretty good stuff! They were right there when I called with an install question. Mine are almost completely installed, Tuesday I finish them.
I think as of right now i'll probably just get the 80 e.
Talk to Jody
Tell him what you want to do with your truck, what modifications you have installed or want to install.
I have the 60Tow, 80 Eco and 120 race
Jody reburned his tunes for me when I bought new single shots! great tunes!
I just want to buy/trade in my older F5 for the newer F6 that allows tunes to be downloaded via USB vs having to send it back to him to reflash!

Cool. I'll call Monday. I like getting info from all of my online buddies with these tunes too.
Jody answered the phone first call and didn't make me feel rushed while taking the time to discuss what was best for me. Excellent service so far from DP.
Here's what I went with-
0-No Start
1-Stock
2-80Eco
3-Decel
4-80Tow
80Eco seemed to fit my driving needs rural/hills/stop signs/freeway.
80Tow no problem as far as egt's up to 9k. I'm about 6k loaded.
Decel in between tunes for easy in and out of either Eco or tow for slowing down loaded or not.
I'm in no hurry so I got UPS ground, so i'll report in about a week on the results. Thanks to all for your input.
80e is not that touchy but you'll get used to it. I like the stock tunes for when my daughter borrows the truck. I chose the 60t pulling a 27ft 5ver up and down the cascades. Egt's and tranny temps are not an issue. Good luck
did you order the F5 or F6? statndard dig switch or gauge style?
I ordered the F5 with the EX digital switcher Blue. I'll mount that right of my steering column right above my Prodigy P2 with Blue lights/numbers. They should look good together, both have that cobalt blue look.
I would have ordered the F6, but needed to keep the cost down and think what I got will suit me fine for my needs. It was a toy for a toy type of thing with me and my wife. I sold a rifle and got this for the same price. I have spent too much money on truck, fishing boats, fishing poles and tackle and such the last 6 months.
This did not affect my checking account or my marriage.
I've tryed 40T and 60T with a 30' toy hauler loaded and the 40T gives you all the power you need. I had to back off because of EGT's. I had stock exhaust at that time and haven't towed it since 4" back yet.

40T is all I need pulling 14k. Also it's my favorite when not pulling the 5er. I get my best mileage too. When using 80E I can't resist blowing off the little rice burners with the nip kit exhaust when the light changes. Bad for mileage.

Nice. I'm going to hit the Cascades this summer a couple of times, probably just I-90. I will feel comfortable hitting some of the other passes though now that I have a secondary tranny cooler and a decel tune.
