Need some help, like always. Pics

Got the truck back from the shop the guy had parts of it in pieces, so now I have to put them back together. Pic 1 s some sort of linkage that i remember some how hooked up to the ip but i do not remember how it goes so it would be greatly appreciated if you could tell me what it is called and how to hook it back up.

Pic 2 what ever that is called, goes to the ip somehow i think, I traced it to the drivers side brake area, so if you could tell me how that hooks up and what it is that would be great.

Pic 3 Is a alternator we bought offline it is a 140amp alt. The guy said he cant tell if it works or not, it has one red wire coming out of the back, hooking up to the starter relay in (pic4) and thats it, only one red wire coming out the back no other wires or anything . Is this right? Didnt seem like he was too sure of himself when he was talking to us about it.

Thanks for any help commets or advice,

I think your right i have been looking around an all the new reman ip pics have the part.
Bought this one from pensecola, is my pump made for a e40d or something ?
Is it necessary for the linkage to be hooked up for the truck tor run /drive correctly ?

It can drive fine. But you shifts will be done at maximum RPM.

It is however, possible to adjust the VRV on the IP to get good shifts without that kick down linkage (that metal rod).

it is very possible that is a manual trans pump.
as John said, you don't need the kickdown rod to drive, it is only for passing gear.

I have never needed my kick down rod, adjust the vrv to your liking and it will kickdown just fine.

vacuum regulator valve. it is on the driver side of the pump, it has a vacuum line in from the vacuum tree ont he firewall, and a line out to the modulator valve on the trans.
in the second pic you can see it. it has the two lines on it.
a manual trans pump normally does not have provisions for a VRV.

You loosen the screws holding it down, pull it forward to higher RPM shifts, push it back (towards back of the truck) for lower RPM shifts.

Find a nice straight lonely back road with your wrench, and go adjust it to your liking.

Get a pic of that alternator so we can better help identify it.

Is there any other connections on it?
