2006 6.0 low range light?

2006 6.0 low range light?
Hello everyone i somewhat of a 6.0 diesel newbie. I have kind of read the tech folders but i have not found a solution to my problems. First off a little background on truck. I purchased this truck at an equipment auction it has 150,500 miles but alot of idle hours(4,000) a good deal i couldnt pass up. I got the egr deleted and ran straight exhaust. I have drove it about 1,000 miles and the low range light just came on after i turned the truck on. The 4x4 switch had not been turned. I have toggled through the 4x4 modes and can hear the transfer case working. what could be causing this light to be on?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com

Also the truck has a new ficm on it, however it is somewhat hard to crank if it hasn't been turned on for 24 hours.(no cold weather) I cycle the glow plugs but it seems as if the fuel has dropped and it has to pick it back up? after i drive it it cranks perfect until it sits. could this be a ficm problem or is it somewhat normal for a 6.0.(have had 7.3 so not really used to this motor).<o></o>

Last question the radio will not switch off if i open the driver’s door. I have to open another door. I can hear a rattle in the driver’s door. Has anyone changed the sensor in the door if so how bad is this?<o></o>

Thanks alot i am new to this motor and not a great mech.! Please help. Don’t want to get robbed by a dealer or a automotive shop! relying on ford truck forums to pull me through.<o></o>

For the low range light, it might be that the actuator is reading in the wrong position. Might be a wiring problem, or a sensor problem. Could also be you have it in gear too. You know you need to have it in neutral, holding the brake to shift in and out of low range, right?
Have any smoke on that cold start? Runs rough?
You have a door ajar sensor not working. It's tight but you can get in there and replace it. Should solve the problem...
